10. | Anima and animus define and control us - especially if we deny their existence
Jung’s archetypes help us understand sex change and gender identity
If asked what our least researched area is, the answer would certainly be our inner cosmos. Using the terminology of the macrocosm, we can say that the human soul and spirit are like the dark matter of the universe. They form the biggest part of a person, but we know almost nothing about them, just like we don’t know what love is. Why does love give wings to one person, but makes another one blind – only poets can explain this.
9. | The Two Faces of the Death
Talking about politics is a topic that can ruin the mood of a party. However, talking about death guarantees it. Why is that? What does death mean psychologically?
Without understanding death, we are not able to live life to the fullest. We are living in fear due to our need for control. We are afraid of changes that come with the death, regardless if it is our death or someone else’s. Modern psychology argues that the best way to get rid of our fears is meeting them – even if it’s just mentally. The following is my attempt to do exactly that in my way.
8. | Next Big Thing is Human Being
We are witnesses to an unprecedented emergence of problems with human psychology. And yet it has not brought along revaluation of the priorities within the society.
We tend to see the concept of the next “Big Thing” as an area where investments would improve people’s lives the most. Undoubtedly, at a certain level such understanding has brought us success. However, while new solutions have benefitted people materially, psychological problems are becoming increasingly more acute.
7. | Illusions and reality of the war against Corona
To paraphrase Winnie the Pooh we might ask - "Interesting - is the extinction of society and a massacre of the economy/companies the only way to cope with the situation or are there other options?". Looking at Sweden, there seem to be other options.
Following is an analysis from an economic perspective.
6. | Humbleness Is the Ultimate Self-confidence
Sometimes we all need to characterize ourselves and it is understandable that for many of us typical introductory phrases would take shape. For one thought that I can quite self-confidently say about myself is “definitely I cannot be accused of humbleness and modesty”. Until now I have believed that humbleness is the opposite of self-confidence, but a few days ago something happened that changed my opinion.
5. | Mental Disorders – Welcome!
What does message the current rapid increase in mental disorders cases have for us? Is it a warning signal or is it merely a normal stage in the development of human society, something like teenage years?
4. | Question Number Two
In the result-oriented Western society we are used to fight problems and to solve them like Terminator. Our society has developed into a society of the how-question – it seems to us that if we know how to solve a problem, then we are already on the right path. We are living in a so-called “society of solutions”, peculiarity of which is that every solution seems to create at least two new problems that, then again, we will heroically try to solve.
3. | Modern Democracy has Become a Simulation
Top politicians and big money are experts in simulating democracy, and they do it well. Too well
Every four years, there is a certain period when I would like to live with my eyes and ears closed. The right to opt-out of total brainwashing should be one of the fundamental human rights guaranteed to its citizens by a democratic society. Regrettably, before any elections, this right is taken away from us.
2. | The Great Horse Manure Crisis Reveals Something Unexpected
Many crises we face are finding resolution based on a universal pattern
If there were a manual entitled "Crisis Management ABC," the Great Horse Manure Crisis of 1894 occurring in London and New York would certainly be one of the candidates for the best example of the global crisis resolution process throughout the entire history.
1. | Condemnation as an Attempt to fix the world
Ancient crucifixion is today replaced by social canceling and verbal crucifixion. Many still believe it helps
If condemnation expressed in public space were to be realised at the physical level, Estonia would certainly be standing on the forefront of the combat against global warning, and the first country in the world to earn the title of a 100% human-free ecological country. Posthumously, of course.
